Buddhism spread

The Chinese form of Mahayana later spread to Korea, Japan and Vietnam. From Tibet, it spread throughout the Himalayan regions and to Mongolia, Central Asia, and several regions of Russia (Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva). For over two thousand years, the Buddha’s teachings have spread from community to community, greatly impacting history, cultures, and development. Buddha himself traveled for years spreading dharma all over north India.


His empire included all of present day India except a small southern tip of Indian pen.
