Hash browns in the oven

Instructions Preheat oven to 4F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Peel potatoes and shred in a food processor with the shredding attachment (preferred).


Put the shredded potatoes in a large bowl and fill with cold water. Put the potatoes back into the bowl and repeat twice more. Directions Preheat oven to 400°.

On a large rimmed baking sheet , toss hash browns with olive oil, garlic powder and paprika. Season with salt and pepper, then add egg and cheese and gently mix until evenly combined. Spread the hash browns into an even layer. Bake until crispy, about minutes.


Moving the sheet pan higher in the oven will get a good crust on the bottom of the hash browns and then crisp up the top of the hash browns at the end. Keep the temperature the same. If you crank the temp too high they will just burn. Don’t worry about stirring them or anything.
