Magazine of fantasy and science fiction submissions

Fantasy and Sci-Fi Magazines are fun to write for. They publish quite intriguing content for a niche market that understands a whole different world from the general population’s perspective. Writers are encouraged to be innovative and exceptionally imaginative – and this is where the fun.


Issues are published monthly and available on our website, for purchase in ebook format, and via electronic subscription. The speculative element may be slight, but it should be present.

FSF encourages submissions from diverse voices and perspectives, and has published writers from all over the world. Asimov’s pays 8-cents per word for short stories up to 5words, and cents for each word over 500. We seldom buy stories shorter than 0words or longer than 20words, and we don’t serialize novels. Despite frequent cries to the contrary, there are lots of great places buying speculative fiction these days.
