Is the haunting in connecticut based on a true story

I watched a show about it on The Discovery Channel before they made the movie. There were two boys and they had their bedroom in the basement. This movie is based on true events. There is a show calle A Haunting, airing on the Discovery channel, and there first ever show was about this haunting.


It was also called -A Haunting in Connecticut. Is the movie A Haunting in Connecticut Ghosts of Georgia based on a true story ?

As with anything that hits hollywood and that claims to be based on real paranormal events, too often or not the lines between reality are often blurred. The script was written by David Coggeshall and Tom Elkins served as director. The Haunting In Connecticut TRUE Story … What REALLY Happened! The series featured several alleged paranormal encounters, including traditional hauntings, demonic activity, ghost attacks, possessions, and cryptic visions.

I thought the film was a little far fetched to be honest, although it was very eerie which made it a good movie to watch.

Another film supposedly based on a true story leaves much to be desired - especially for horror film buffs. I heard about the haunting in Connecticut and its ties to Ed and Lorraine Warren, the real life demonologists and was excited to see this one on the big screen. I missed in in theaters and watched it on Amazon Instant.
